Picture Tag

I'm not quite sure what I'm suppose to do, but I was on Kayla's blog and she tagged me. She posted the 6th picture in her 6th picture file, so I'll do the same. This is Jim and Walt at Parma on Valentine's Day 2004. Kayla, you've gotta give me further instruction 'cause I don't know what I'm suppose to do. Anyway, this was a tradition we had with Jim's dad. We'd meet him in the city for dinner with Sheryl and Walt every V-Day. The other night we watched a DVD that I put together of Tony for his memorial. Jim and I cried our eyes out. We miss him so much. There never has been and never will be anyone quite like my "Sainted" Father-in-law!

Here are a couple of other pictures from that night. My sister, Sheryl, and me, and my father in law, Tony

My Dear Old Grey Headed Grandma

On September 10, 2008, my 97 year old grandmother died. As much as I loved her, it was a blessing when she finally went. It's what she's wanted for a long time. One of the last things she said to me was that her dearest wish was to be with her sweetheart again. She and my grandpa were married for 72 years! The loved each other so much and were a good example of love to their family. One of the last things I said to her was that I loved her very much and I would miss her when she was gone. And I do!

I'M BLOGGING

Okay - I'm blogging! Now that I'm here, what do I do? I'll tell you about my family! I'm married to Jim. We have been married for 19 years. Wow! Where did the time go? We have three children. Kayla, who is married to Jake. They live in Utah. Danny, who is a Senior this year. He's a "Drama Geek". (I say that with love and affection!) And Sammy, who just started 7th grade and Junior High. He's into Scouting, reading, video games, and he's learning how to play the bass guitar.

Kayla presented us with a granddaughter in October of 2007. We love Shelby and Sam calls her his "Chubby Little Cutikins"! She's going to call Jim "Old Pap" and me "GG".

Jim and I love to travel and spend time with family and friends. We recently took a trip with the boys accross the country and it was a ton of fun!
